You seem to have a good understanding in the use of charcoal. It's really cool. Very nice attention to your range in values as well.
thats the coolest charcoal dragon i have ever seen.

I like it, and a definite good job to you. I've always found charcoal to be too finnicky for my tastes and I respect anyone who can do it justice. The really dark shading on the left side is very good.
Thanks! =) I don't mean to praise myself or anything, but it was my very first charcoal drawing. I didn't kow how to use it and I have been advised not to use it that way. I love it, though.
Whoever told you that is probably right for the general sense, but if this was the look you were going for then it's *exactly* the right way to use it. I'm going to take a stab and guess it's an art teacher/instructor of some kind. They always get ideas in their head about the "proper" way to may art. ^_-
Yep, it was an art teacher!
i like how it has that perfect amount of sharpness and smoothness in it :D great job!

I like waffles... :p
Thank you. It was really detailed at first when I sketched it with graphite, but then I got curious about the charcoal and it became this way. I like this version best. :)
